I purchased this watch to coordinate with brown belts with gold hardware. Goes very nicely. Looks rich. Only complaint is the strap. It doesn't want to bend much. After breaking in it's not a whole lot better. I also own a Victorinox watch with a leather strap that flexes very nicely and is very comfortable so I know leather straps can be made to be more comfortable. I hate to have to replace the strap on a new watch but am considering it.

I'm a collector of watches, from unique and kitschy to high end luxury brands. I wanted to add to my ceramic watch collection, and after purchasing and returning other ceramic watches due to poor construction or ceramic quality, I found this Charles Hubert. It is much better constructed than the shoddy ceramic Rougois 61098GB, and the band is composed of much higher quality ceramic than either the Rougois or the Armani AR1406 (it is very easy to tell by looking and handling the band. The Charles Hubert ceramic is much denser and has a much richer, deeper sheen). There are some things to know about this watch that actually were pleasant surprises for me: The watch does not have a sun/moon phase that depicts 24 hour cycles. It is a lunar phase dial, showing full and new moon cycles every 30 days or so. I found this surprising, but pleasantly unique. The crystal is slightly domed, also a plus. The roman numerals are shiny chrome, not white. The seconds hand almost perfectly lands at the center of each roman numeral marker every 5 seconds. One would assume this should be expected of the majority of modern quartz watches, but in reality, VERY few are calibrated properly so that the seconds hand actually lands on the center of the markers precisely, so a definite plus for this watch. This watch is fairly small (38/42mm with/without crown), which works well for my small wrist, but may be too small for larger wrists. Basically, if you've been interested by the picture of this watch, in my opinion, it looks quite a bit better in person.

Occasional use when "dressed up" a little. Had initial engraved after purchase. Watch looks very nice.

This is a very simple and refined watch with a dark red leather embossed strap. It is thin and low profile. It appears to be well-made and the price is great.

My parents have both been ill, declining health due to age (in 80's). They are not able to stay alone at night anymore, so my sister-in-law and I take turns staying there. One of my turns falls on Sat. night and we watch the bluegrass music on the Rural network channel. Your watch ad plays several times a night. Once my Dad (who has recently been diagnosed with cancer) said, "If I thought I would live, I would order that watch." That's when I knew I'd be ordering it for him for Christmas -- not only for the watch itself -- but to send a hopeful message that he will get through these treatments and feel better again.
